Protect-Setting-Byte(PSB):
This
byte is used for setting the protect, lock or special information
of
the selected IC. When it's available, its current value will be
shown at the
lower left corner of the LCD display in two HEX digit format. For
each IC, it
has different meanings and will influence the programmer's
behavior on the COPY
and the VERIFY command..
How to set the PSB:
Depress
three keys at the same time to bring out the setting menu. Using
the
left and middle key to move cursor to a bit position which you
are interested,
then using the right key to toggle this bit's value. After all
required bits
have been set correctly, move cursor to a position where no bit
is exist, and
depress the right key to quit from this menu.
Its
value will always shown on the LCD display for reference. The
user
should pay attention on its value, just like the checksum value,
to insure
a correct operation results.
