 PROM8908D/E (PROM8908E is obsolete. This version is replaced by PROM8908F)
Following the steps below to update your machine's fireware:
 1. Unzip the .zip file into an .img file which is the execuatble binary format.
 2. Programming the .img file into a 27512 which has access time equal or faster than 70ns.
 3. Replace the firmware chip which can be easily accessed after removing the bottom cover.

The PROM8908F using the on-board ISP programming to update its firmware. 
The AVR2.zip utility is for this purpose. If the USB2LPT adaptor was used, the AVR3addon.zip is required also.
